Foreign currency reserves EUR 10bn in November

BELGRADE -- The foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) increased last November by EUR 304.8mn to reach some EUR 10bn at the end of the month.

A statement from the central bank said that in U.S. dollar, the reserves reached about 15bn at the end of November.

This amount that covers the M1 money mass with 414 percent.

On November 30, the bank foreign exchange reserves were EUR 1.3bn, thus making the country's foreign exchange reserves reach about EUR 11.3bn.

The influx of EUR 143.8mn, paid by banks as obligatory foreign currency reserve, had the biggest influence on the NBS foreign exchange increase, the statement said.
